Having Fun

When talking about "(Regaining) Vibrant Energy", probably the most important element - at least in my mind - is having fun and enjoying life.
Like self-care, having fun and simply enjoying the small pleasures in life is often frowned upon as a waste of time and/or associated with being childish. We are supposed to be serious – and not waste our precious time with so called trivial playfulness or seemingly purposeless living. So oftentimes, it is not only those around us but also ourselves that think having fun is not appropriate past a certain age.
Yet, nothing could be further away from the truth. Playfulness and having fun is, in fact, the magical ingredient in our life. And it is extremely effective in counterbalancing stress. When we allow ourselves to return to the innocence and purity of a child and to truly enjoy the simple pleasures life has to offer, we step out of our head and are fully present in our body.
Therefore, playfulness and having fun should not stop once you turn a certain age. In fact, the opposite is true: the older you get, the more fun you should have. Rejoicing in the small things life is offering us, and simply loving being alive is what keeps our minds and bodies young. I want to encourage you to bring back the fun and playfulness into your life because chances are you don’t have enough of it.
